Dame Gillian Lynne Scholarship announced

October 2021

The Foundation has joined with the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama to create the Dame Gillian Lynne Scholarship. The scholarship will assist a student studying for a BA (Hons) Acting (Musical Theatre).

In creating this scholarship, the Foundation wanted to recognise Dame Gillian’s association with the Royal Central School and her desire to support young talent. This year’s recipient is Calum Bonner who is in his first year of training on this course.

Wendy Gadian, BA Acting (Musical Theatre) Course Leader, said of the scholarship “Dame Gillian was a big supporter of our course and worked with us on a few projects in the latter period of her life.  We are honoured to be able to offer the Dame Gillian Lynne Scholarship to continue her legacy of supporting aspiring young performers".
